Sv\u016fj v\u00fdzkum zam\u011b\u0159ila na okrov\u00e9 pigmenty, jejich produkci a funkci \u017eeleza v cel\u00e9 historii lidstva.

\nSlovo okr m\u00e1 sv\u016fj p\u016fvod v \u0159eck\u00e9m \u1f60\u03c7\u03c1\u03cc\u03c2 a znamen\u00e1 zemit\u00fd pigment \u017elut\u00e9 a\u017e \u010derven\u00e9 barvy. Jedn\u00e1 se o druh j\u00edlu s r\u016fzn\u00fdm obsahem oxidu \u017eeleza. Pr\u00e1v\u011b zde je i p\u016fvod n\u00e1zvu okrov\u00e1 barva.

\nSb\u00edrka ofici\u00e1ln\u011b vznikla v roce 2017, kdy se Heidi Gustafson p\u0159est\u011bhovala na pacifick\u00fd severoz\u00e1pad. Po dokon\u010den\u00ed studia na Kalifornsk\u00e9m institutu integr\u00e1ln\u00edch studi\u00ed nev\u011bd\u011bla, co bude d\u011blat. Jedn\u00e9 noci se j\u00ed ale zd\u00e1l sen o okru a m\u00edst\u011b, kde nikdy nebyla. Rozhodla se o fascinuj\u00edc\u00ed na\u010dervenal\u00e9 sk\u00e1le zjistit v\u00edc, okr se pokusila naj\u00edt v obchod\u011b s miner\u00e1ly. Nic j\u00ed ale miner\u00e1l ze snu nep\u0159ipom\u00ednalo, proto za\u010dala hledat lomy kolem Oaklandu.<\/p>\n
